As there are many facets to the service and maintenance of espresso machines and grinders it is important to provide a description of the areas of services provided. Many persons make mention of operating a ‘Preventative Maintenance Schedule’ normally based on a schedule of either quarterly or bi-yearly servicing. In this instance and experience Absolute Espresso Services prefer to use the term ‘Scheduled Maintenance’ and can provide a tailor made Service Schedule to suit your requirements.
Prevenative Maintenance may leave an impression that equipment will not breakdown because of the “preventative maintenance’ however a Preventative Maintenance or Scheduled Maintenance is to provide the service and replacement of perishable parts or wear and tear parts as well as inspect over the equipment for any suspect issues and diagnose. If suspect parts are detected then we can have the discussion with the owner and follow the best course of action to replace or repair the part at that time.
Perishable parts are generally the parts referred to, to carry out the quarterly or bi-yearly Scheduled Services. In machines these parts consist of group seals and showers, steam/ water tap washers, steam arm o’rings and seals, water filters and the un-blocking of waste drains and pipes. In grinders parts under a Scheduled Service are referred to grinder blades (burrs), doser lever springs and lubrication.
Installation of your espresso equipment is an integral part of your business, whether it be a new installation or a re-location. To assist with this we can arrange an on site consultation and provide advice on positioning of equipment, work flow scenarios and power, water and bench requirements and also suitable water filtration. Upon installation, the equipment is commissioned, programmed and tested and a full demonstration is provided.
